FAQ: Scheduling & Appointments
Questions about JakBot’s built-in appointment scheduling and Calendly integration.
-
JakBot has a built-in appointment scheduling system. When enabled on a bot, the chatbot walks visitors through selecting an available time slot, collecting their contact information, and confirming the booking — all within the chat conversation. Available time slots are managed through the WordPress admin under JakBot > Appointments. The system supports a full state machine: collecting info, confirming details, completing the booking, or cancelling.
-
Yes. JakBot supports Calendly as an alternative to the built-in scheduling system. When Calendly integration is enabled, the chatbot collects the visitor’s information through conversation, then generates a single-use Calendly scheduling link for them to complete the booking. This gives you the flexibility of Calendly’s calendar management while keeping the conversational experience inside your chatbot.

When no availability slots exist, JakBot automatically switches to a no-availability flow. Instead of trying to book an appointment, the chatbot collects the visitor’s contact information and alerts the site admin so they can follow up manually. This ensures you never lose a potential lead, even when your calendar is full.
